Sisters from Wilbraham find national market for grandfather’s pierogi

The sister team of Vanessa and Casey White have become a force in appeasing tastebuds through traditional Polish cooking with their company Jaju Pierogi.

The sisters grew up in Wilbraham, and though they do not have a storefront, Jaju Pierogi is currently based in Beverly.

Vanessa White, as co-founder, attributes their success to a few different elements.

“Polish food is extremely nostalgic, not just for Eastern Europeans, but for anyone who has had a connection to a Polish community,” said White. “Maybe someone grew up next to a Polish church, or dated a Polish girl… that’s our favorite story! Casey and I also complement each other almost perfectly in our skill sets, which allows us to cover a lot of ground with the business. She does finance and operations, and I do the sales and marketing. Lastly, I would absolutely attribute our success to our inherited work ethic that we get from our grandfather, mother, and uncle. It’s incredible what Polish people can do!”
